Lisa is a life-long artist. She has been creating paintings, drawings, and mixed media work using a variety of styles and techniques throughout her life. She finds inspiration in the sensory experience of earth, the patterns of plants, the effects of wind and water, the signs of decay and renewal. She expresses these interactions with the natural world through a unique combination of realism and abstraction. Lisa’s formal education includes a double major in visual art and music from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and a Masters’ degree in visual art from the University of Northern Colorado. She currently teaches at Pikes Peak Community College.
